I have a life-long interest in science--especially astronomy, cosmology, paleontology and paleo-anthropology. While that interest is largely indulged by reading, my participation in astronomy is more hands-on. I own a number of telescopes and participate in public outreach here in Utah. I have served for several years as an astronomy volunteer for the National Park Service, particularly at Bryce Canyon.
I've spent a lifetime in music and audio. In addition to my work in composition, I enjoy recording chamber music as time allows. In addition to my own music, I've recorded a number of other players and groups. Some of those recordings have been released on CD, and others have made it to NPR stations and even New Hampshire Public Television. I've recorded the Park CIty Chamber Music Festival (now the Beethoven Festival) as well as performers from the Utah Symphony. I previously recorded the Cambridge Chorale, a women's chorus in Boston, as well as the new music group Tricinium.
A place as beautiful as Utah demands that you get out of doors and enjoy it. Many trails reach above 10,000' in elevation and the view changes every season.
